Effective Altruism Vienna meets for an open social that welcomes brainstorming, discussion or simply personal exchange.
No previous experience necessary – at our social meetups, everyone is welcome. We usually have thought provoking discussions about ethics, science and our role in improving the world.
Topics such as climate disasters, global poverty, animal suffering, AI safety and biosecurity, as well as private and off-topic discussions are welcome. Usually, conversations will take place both in German and in English.
This is a Picknick – bring vegan food to share!
Give & Takes will also take place at this event (totally optional, you can also just talk casually): We will bring pen and paper, so you can put up to 3 Gives (things you can help others with) and 3 Takes (things you could need help with). This should foster deep and impactful discussions and make it easier to help each other.
